Garrett Rawlins Named Mr. Hebron
Twelve contestants competed in the annual Mr. Hebron Pageant Tuesday night. The contestants were judged on talent, formal wear, casual wear, dance and their response to questions. Garrett Rawlins was crowned Mr. Hebron at the end of this entertaining event.

May 10 Election Day Voting Locations Set
Denton County precincts 200, 203, 208, 213, 221, and 230 are scheduled to vote May 10 at the Carrollton Public Library (Hebron and Josey). Precincts 204,206, 211, 215, 217, 228, and 309 are scheduled to vote at the Rosemeade Recreation Center. Voting will be available 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Lewisville ISD Trustees Set May 10 Bond Election
A $776 million bond proposal was approved by the LISD Board of Trustees and will be voted on by citizens May 10. The new bond package includes Proposition 1 for $679 million to build new schools, maintain and renovate older schools, update technology and purchase land. Proposition 2 passed by a 4-3 vote which includes building a special events building. Area schools are currently seeing the results of the last bond election. Hebron's tennis courts are complete and construction has started on an additional gym and locker room and an additional fine arts room. All three middle schools are currently undergoing construction of an additonal weight room.

Youth Fishing Event Set for May 17
The Texas Junior Anglers (TJA) program will be hosting a youth fishing event Saturday, May 17 th at Josey Ranch Park in Carrollton . The event is sponsored by the City of Carrollton Athletics Department . Event hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to Noon and is free for children 16 and under. Texas Junior Anglers is a non-profit outreach program designed to educate young Texans regarding aquatic stewardship and conservation of natural resources.
The Josey Ranch Park pond will be generously stocked with adult catfish. Prizes and trophies will be awarded to winners in three age categories. The pond will be opened to licensed adults at the conclusion of the event.

Mustang Park Development
Land is currently being cleared along Plano Parkway between SH 544 and Hebron High School for the new Mustang Park Development. This multi-use development will feature a medical office building and other commercial properties. The first phase of the development is a 393 unit multi-family complex developed by Lincoln Properties according to Carrollton zoning officials.
Justice of the Peace, Precinct 6, Judge Patty Larson reports that the jurisdiction of the Court was increased from $5,000 to $10,000 and they anticipate an increase in Civil and Criminal cases for 2008. Currently the Court handles a large number of non-payment of toll violations on George W. Bush Tollway for NTTA and anticipates handling violations on SH 121.
